Hi everyone.
Take a look at this page about Canadian Festivals. In my opinion its really useful and it brings Canadians together. On this website, you can easily find out what events are taking place in what province. If you are going on vacation, using this page will help a tourist plan their trip. You can also read about the origin of the festival.
I recommend this page for all Canadians and for newcomers. Here is the link :

At the moment the page is not complete. It is missing a few festivals and the French version. The site is easy to navigate and is well organized.

Gee Anna, I did not know about this web page either. I note that the blog mentions Bright Nights. I friend of mine works at the Chamber and informed me awhile ago that they were not doing the lights this year. Apparently new lights are needed and the funds are not available. Very, Very sad to hear the news because our family has always drove through the park and loved looking at the display.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I like the blog, but like many websites it is hit and miss regarding what festivities they inform us about.
I took a look at what it offers in Saskatoon and i was happy to see all the major events where covered. It is a great site for information but like Pam says it is best to then confirm an event before you head out.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about the "scantly" dressed woman with the blotting stomach, prominently on the wedsite. I am not sure if that is just today or she is a fixture. I am not very comfortable with that image on a family orientated website. Maybe i am a little more conservative than the average parent?
FYI: The "scantily" dressed woman is gone, she has been replaced by some diamonds.
